We are all drawn by the overwhelming good that our favorite superheroes, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and the Hulk accomplish in comics and movies. The real life inspiration behind our favorite superheroes comes from the everyday heroes that save lives and make the world a better place.
In July, Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. at Treasure Island celebrated one year of engaging fans of all ages with their educational and interactive exhibit. The team which included favorites Captain America and Black Widow surprised local nurses at Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican’s San Martin Campus, sweetening their day with cupcakes before heading out to the Las Vegas Strip with a catered lunch for local heroes at Clark County Fire Station 32.
“We love seeing our fictional superheroes every day,” said GM of Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., Daniel Pearce. “But after being in the community for a year, we wanted to go out and visit the real superheroes of Las Vegas!”
In addition to thanking local heroes, Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. at Treasure Island has granted two wishes in the past year with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, encouraging others to live like a superhero and give back to the local community.
“The day was simply about saying ‘thank you’” Pearce said.
